Got my blog up

March 24, 2007

Ross Howard-Jones and Mark Johncox
Well, I've finally got my blog up after years of designing, coding, re-designing, re-coding and re-thinking. I don't even know how many times I've sat down and said... fuck it; I've just got to get this thing up already... only to scrap the whole thing when I got bored of repeatedly staring at the same design.

This time though, I sat down and said... ok, how can I make this thing super simple? That seemed to stir something within me. I decided to make this thing as simple as I could. I ditched many of my original ideas and decided to go with just a straight up blog and a portfolio section.

Another question I was asking myself was... what will my site be about and more importantly, what will my blog be about? What came to mind were things like art, technology, music, the industry I work in etc. I've decided instead not to have a theme, but to write about whatever comes to mind as I go along and present it in any way that seems fit at the time. I want photography to be a big part of it, since that is something I'm getting into more and more these days.

So, here it is, in all its glory. Super simple and straight to the point.

Yeah, simple is key, firm believer of the KISS (keep it simple stupid) rule. I don't really have a focus for my blog, I'm thinking its mostly just gonna be random stuff on music, technology, photography, art, life and maybe ill do some tutorials on stuff here and there.

You've got to post more

You've got to post more often, man. It's far too pretty of a site for you to leave it empty!
